Alex Gamboa

Alex focuses on administration, fundraising, and organizational management. He runs team meetings, approaches major funders, manages the organizational structure and efficiency of our efforts, leads partnership development with other organizations, and serves as the point person for all internal inquiries. He also oversees the division of labor of the many volunteers who assist in everything from writing to event planning to donor outreach, and more.

Originally from Reno, Nevada, Alex returned home to launch Envirolution in his local community. Alex has a wide variety of leadership experiences under his belt, including the Captain position on Yale's Varsity Basketball Team and the leader of a Latino mentoring program for disadvantaged youth in New Haven, Connecticut.


Timothy Polmateer
Director of Operations

Tim has an unparalleled ability to "get things done" and problem solve. He therefore directs our research efforts. He also focuses on Envirolution clubs, event planning, outreach, and marketing. He manages our public relations activities, works with our media and graphics team to develop our brand, and oversees a monthly Envirolution newsletter.

Tim's accomplishments include biking across the country with Habitat for Humanity and being voted by his peers as the best intramural athlete at Yale in the last decade. He was also a Photo Editor of the prestigious Yale Daily News. Tim originally hails from Poughkeepsie, New York and now resides in New York City.


Antuan Cannon
Director of Business Development

Antuan's most significant role for Envirolution to-date has been as a visionary of some of our most vital concepts as an organization. Furthermore, Antuan is adept at financial analysis and number crunching and therefore focuses on general Envirolution financials, including our budget and accounting. He also focuses on developing metrics to measure our impact. In addition, Antuan has a knack for the virtual world and has spearheaded our web development team, the construction of our current website, and the new version due in April. He is also very interested in the business side of Envirolution and heads our youth business consulting component.

Originally from Mexico, Antuan moved to Truckee, California during elementary school. He speaks five languages--English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Mandarin Chinese--and has traveled widely throughout the world. At Yale, Antuan was a double major in Economics and East Asian Studies. He has a keen ability to communicate with people from all walks of life. Antuan currently resides in New York City.


Abigail Reider
Head of West Coast Operations

With her expertise in writing, Abby oversees all internal and external communications for Envirolution, including grant writing, website content, and official documents. She also co-organized the first Reno Envirolution Experience in June 2007, which was called by a seasoned city official, "the most successful inaugural event of any organization in Reno's history." Abby's other focus is on program and network development on the West Coast, specifically in the San Francisco Bay Area and in the Reno/Tahoe region.

Abby has taken many writing courses, has written for San Francisco Magazine and a number of Yale publications, and won national awards for her writing as the Editor-in-Chief of her high school newspaper in Palo Alto, California. Abby returned to the West Coast after college graduation and now lives in San Francisco.
